Kalluthipara temple is an old Krishna temple situated near Kandanissery, Guruvayoor.
This place was never on my saved list nor in any planned temple visit. Just to clarify, I am not a temple runner nor a believer but a fan of old-school temples and keep looking for them around. Also, all high-in-demand crowded ones are a big no-no.
This one caught my eye on an afternoon en route Munimada, ariyannur. The temple is located between two giant rocks. Adjacent to the temple, there is a bamboo forest/plantation (a private one if not wrong) and a pond.
The temple was in a destructed manner before (some say it was destroyed by Tippu, but no historical evidence as such) but now it is renovated.

Oldschool charm check: Fail

There is a small pond (pond-like) one of the rocks. I am not sure about the depth of it, but people around there say that it has a depth of four feet! The time I visited was the peak of summer and even then there was a good amount of water with some water lilies accompanied.

Another attraction is a footprint-like mark on the rock and which is considered as a footprint of lord Krishna and pooja is conducted every month.
